Match report written by Donald Buchanan

The young guns from Caithness welcomed Aberdeen Wanderers to Millbank after a 24 hour down pour which would have tested the PRO’s handling skills on the greasy surface.
The Junior Greens playing with only 13 players did not let the opposition settle into their game after the long bus journey and 6am start from the North East. No sooner had the whistle blown for the start of the game Caithness were up in the opposition’s faces hustling them off the ball for Max Paul To run in from 20 yards for the 1st score, converted by Jamie Mowat. After the restart Caithness continued with the same game plan and this allowed Jamie Mowat to take the ball on a run along the right touchline to score in the corner and he converted himself. A strong run by Jordan Miller from his own half provided the 3rd score which Jamie Mowat also converted. The 4th try was scored by Max Paul and converted by Jamie Mowat before Jordan Miller scored the try of the day. Ross Mackay pinched the opposition’s ball at the line out to provide Stuart Kirk an opportunity to break from his own 5 yard line before passing to Jordan Miller in his own 22 who out powered the opposition the length of the field, Jamie Mowat also converted to make the half time score 33-0 to Caithness.
The 2nd half provided 3 more tries for Caithness by Jordan Miller, Nathan Quin and Jack Macleod with 2 conversions by Jamie Mowat to make the final score Caithness 52 Aberdeen Wanderers 0
Tackle of the day went to Lewis Mackay who felled a flanker with a text book one on one tackle in the first half.
A good overall performance by the ever improving youngsters.
