PCS Perth Tournament

Well the bus left Thurso for what seemed an epic journey. A few toilet stops then some junk food at BK, Pizza Hut & Tesco. Then on to the Sky-lodge in Perth. Once the rooms were sorted out most of the kids (all ages) headed out to the park for some touch rugby as the weather was glorious. Early breakfast then off to the rugby ground at 10am.
The team consisted of

Ross macgregor
Drew Matheson

First game
Caithness 4 Carnoustie 2
Cracking start with Liam running in 2 trys, Conner 1 & Ross 1

Second game
Caithness 7 Dundee wasps 4. Some magic running with Conner running rings around them, they just couldn't catch him & he scored 5 try's. Also Zak powering his way through for a couple. A real team effort in this game.

Caithness 4 Cartha 4
Our first draw but what a cracking game & given another 2 minutes & we would certainly have won.

Last game & a tough game to watch as the "Ref" seemed to put every decision against us. He even disallowed a try right at the end which would have seen us draw. Never mind, you get days like that. The boys were gutted to lose that match as they couldn't understand why the ref was going against them but i didn't have an answer for them !

The boys conducted themselves very well, giving opposing teams 3 cheers, shaking hands with all opposing players, the ref & the opposing teams coaches whilst saying Thank You Sir.
The behaviour over the whole weekend was exemplary & they were a joy to coach.

On a final note i would like to say how well the S1/2 guys looked after the littler boys, showing them tips on tackling etc. It really surprised me what a bond there is within the rugby club & their coaches should be proud of them.
